Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 6, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of BotLah, a Discord bot that connects an Instagram Business or Creator account to a Discord server and announces new Instagram content. By installing, configuring, or using BotLah, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the bot.
1. Who may use BotLah
You must be permitted to use Discord and Instagram under their respective terms. You may only connect an Instagram account and configure a Discord server when you have authority to do so. BotLah's configuration commands are restricted to members with Discord's Manage Server permission, but you remain responsible for choosing appropriate server roles and permissions.
2. What the service does
BotLah periodically checks a connected Instagram account for new posts, carousels, videos, and Reels, then sends an announcement to the configured Discord channel or thread. Checks are periodic, not real-time. BotLah does not publish to Instagram, create Discord channels, or announce posts published before a destination is activated.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use BotLah to:
- access or connect an account without authorization;
- break any law, third-party right, Discord rule, or Meta/Instagram rule;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls of the service;
- distribute harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content; or
- misrepresent BotLah as an official product of Discord, Meta, or Instagram.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for the Instagram content you connect and for the Discord community where it is announced. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed to display that content and for moderating messages in your server. Disconnecting BotLah does not remove announcements already sent to Discord; server administrators can remove those messages using Discord's controls.
5. Third-party services
BotLah depends on Discord and Meta/Instagram APIs. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Their outages, policy changes, access restrictions, or API changes may affect BotLah. BotLah is an independent service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Discord, Meta, or Instagram.
6. Availability and changes
BotLah is provided on an as-available basis. Features may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued, and access may be removed for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or violations of these terms. Where practical, material changes will be communicated through the communities using BotLah.
7. No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, BotLah is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, immediate delivery, preservation of content, or that every eligible Instagram post will be detected or announced. You should not rely on BotLah as the only copy or delivery method for important content.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the BotLah operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, revenue, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use BotLah. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Ending use
A server administrator may stop using BotLah at any time with /instagram disconnect and may
remove the bot from the Discord server. The operator may end or restrict access where reasonably necessary.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including responsibility, disclaimers, and
liability limits, will continue to apply.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as BotLah changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to the BotLah operator through the Discord community or administrator who provided access to the bot.
